"SUTTON is all the things I love and know into a retail concept that will be CONSTANTLY EVOLVING. I promise neither the client nor the shop owner will ever be bored!"
About Sutton Stracke
Party planning maven and hostess extraordinaire, Sutton Stracke brings to life SUTTON, a concept store, to share her love of art, fashion, design, and more.
Sutton has been a leading member of the arts community on both coasts.
The professionally trained dancer became a talented fundraiser for modern dance choreographer Merce Cunningham. Her years serving on the Board of Trustees for the American Ballet Theater, P.S. Arts, and the MOCA have inspired and reinforced her keen eye for established and emerging artists. Sutton, along with curator Karyn Lovegrove, will hang exhibitions featuring Los Angeles painters, ceramicists, and sculptors.
Most recently, Sutton joined the Founders Committee of the CFDA Trust in Los Angeles, a committee that will mentor talented Los Angeles designers and offer the top echelon of applicants financial grants to scale up their business.
For the past decade, Sutton has been seated front row at the top Parisian and Italian defiles, developing ongoing relationships with elite fashion houses and emerging designers. She has become a muse and advocate for many young designers. Now, she can further propel their careers in the United States, providing them the opportunity for quality exposure and point of sale at SUTTON. Sutton also honed her talents to absorb and translate the traditions and overall aesthetics of the European houses in a conscious effort to import them and adapt them to the West Coast style and sensibility.
SUTTON unveils exquisite pieces in categories across designer fashion and accessories, fine art, gift items, and decor, adored and hand-picked with love by Sutton Stracke. The concept is an always-changing, enticing offering of brands with limited distribution or unique pieces. SUTTON has plans to rotate fashion brands and new artist exhibitions quarterly, introduce bespoke services, and host trunk shows.
